Financial aid for married parents?

Financial aid for married parents?

I love my best friend and we have been together for almost 5 yrs we have two children together and we want to get married. My parents say to wait because I can't get financial aid if I am not a single mother is this true? We both want to go back to college but honestly being married to him is VERY important to me. I want to make it official and under God so that we can begin living the way that the Bible says we should -concerning a relationship. Is this financial aid thing really as big of a barrier as my parents are making it seem?

You probably would be able to still get financial aid but it might be significantly less. Something to do with EFC (estimated family contribution). When I went back to school I still had to enter my parents tax info since I was under 23 even though I was living on my own & they didn't support me financially. Go to the fafsa web site or call some one.

universities.atwebpages.com – try this site. It has info about different US scholarships for college students and their grades requirements.
